Sex and Intimacy Couples Intensive

Concentrated time to address sexual and intimate concerns in your relationship

Common sexual and intimacy concerns

Sexual disconnection, desire mismatch, avoidance, difficulty communicating about sex, and loss of erotic connection are not uncommon in long-term relationships. Sometimes they stem from relational patterns, sometimes from individual history or experience, and often from a combination. Weekly therapy can address these concerns, but a concentrated two-day intensive can accelerate the work and create momentum.

Why concentrated time helps

  • More time to explore how individual history, relational patterns, and sexual concerns interact
  • Structured conversations where both partners can speak about sexual wants, limits, and fears
  • Practice with new ways of communicating about sex and intimacy in the moment
  • Dedicated time to understand what desire, pleasure, and connection mean to each person
  • Space to rebuild erotic connection in a way that fits both partners' values and needs
  • Momentum to move from avoidance or disconnection toward active re-engagement

What the two days include

The intensive combines expert-held sessions with planned on-your-own time. Sessions focus on understanding blocks to intimacy, practicing communication about sexual preferences and boundaries, and exploring what sexual connection means to each of you.

You practice new ways of talking about sex in session so those conversations become easier at home. The work is practical and relational, not clinical or theoretical.

Between sessions, you have time for your own conversations, physical closeness at your own pace, and reflection.

When weekly therapy may fit better

Weekly sessions work well for ongoing exploration of sexual and intimacy concerns. An intensive works best when you want to move through a plateau faster or when you need concentrated time to rebuild after a period of disconnection.

Some couples start with an intensive to create momentum, then continue with weekly sessions for the ongoing relational work.
