Sex and relationship therapy that works alongside your care

For physicians, prescribers, pelvic health specialists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Collaborative care

Therafox works with adults and couples when medical, physical, psychiatric, or relational concerns affect sexuality, intimacy, or the relationship.

Anastasia Fox, LMFT, CST, welcomes coordination with other members of a patient's care team when the patient authorizes it.

When to refer

A referral may be helpful when your patient is experiencing:

  • Pain, fear, or anxiety related to sexual activity
  • Desire differences or loss of sexual interest
  • Arousal or orgasm concerns
  • Erectile or ejaculatory difficulties
  • Sexual side effects associated with medication
  • Changes related to pregnancy, postpartum recovery, menopause, illness, or medical treatment
  • Avoidance following pain, surgery, childbirth, or medical trauma
  • Shame, performance anxiety, or difficulty communicating about sex
  • Relationship distress connected to a sexual health concern
  • A physical concern that is improving while fear, avoidance, or partner tension continues

Patients do not need a formal sexual dysfunction diagnosis before contacting Therafox.

Care that complements yours

Medical care may address pain, hormones, medication effects, illness, or physical function while emotional and relational patterns continue to affect the patient's experience.

Sex therapy can help patients and partners understand those interactions, communicate more directly, reduce avoidance or performance pressure, and adapt to changes in health or life stage.

  • Understand how physical, psychological, and relational factors interact
  • Reduce fear, shame, avoidance, and performance pressure
  • Communicate about pain, desire, boundaries, and expectations
  • Rebuild intimacy at a pace that supports safety and trust
  • Practice new ways of responding outside the therapy room
  • Adapt to changes in health, medication, identity, or life stage

Sex therapy does not replace medical evaluation or treatment.
